Patricia Shirer Network Consultant; Principal
Tricia has 29 years experience with Network Operating Systems, PCs and Security, including configuration, installation and maintenance of corporate networks using VMware and Windows Server OS. She is GCWN Certified by SANS for Windows 2008, 2012 Security (certified since 2005). She has Formal training and preparation for certification in VMware products and virtualization techniques. Tricia setup and managed Help Desks at Lykes Bros and Lash Marine. She is proficient the design and management of secure Windows networks, including the configuration and implementation of disaster recovery plans. She also is trained in design, installation and support and security of firewalls, wireless networks and remote access. Other areas of qualification include design of business software applications, implementation of large scale projects that require cost justification, presentations to upper management and budget tracking.
Pam Perret Network Manager, Systems Admin
Pam is a VMware Certified Professional 6. She started her career in 1986 with the Louisiana Air National Guard as a Combat Communications Technician. During her career she has worked as an IT Coordinator operating networking and systems for a small region of a large global company. Pam has worked as a Systems Team Lead for Bureau of Safety Environmental Enforcement for several years. Handling security concerns for over 200 servers and managing Enterprise IT projects for servers. Recently Pam was the Systems Manager for the City of New Orleans, managing the VMware environment and network storage.
Rendell JonesNetwork Technician
Rendell Jones has been dedicated member of the Louisiana Air National Guard, since 1999. His accomplishments include extensive training in the Cyber Defense and Networking, earning 3 different Career fields (Telephone Systems, Cyber Transport & Spectrum Manager). His list of certifications include Network+ and Security+ Certification and Telephone System Training 7-level, as well as the earning title of Technology Services Supervisor of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in downtown New Orleans. Rendell’s duties there were show-floor and back office network management as well as training up to 30 part-time/full-time employees for flawless network communication during conventions. Rendell is certified in training and performing most network and communication needs. His work ethic is beyond exceptional and his customer service and passion for technology make him invaluable member of our team.
Akesha AllenNetwork Technician
Akesha joined the BNI team in 2013. She is Network + Certified and an Axis Camera Certified Professional. She has received an Associates of Applied Science in Computer Networking from Delgado Community College and currently pursuing advanced IT Certifications in Network Security. During her limited time in the IT field, she has quickly developed an increased knowledge of Network Operations and greater passion for ever-changing Technology.
Chelsea Core Network Technician; Web Developer
Chelsea has her Masters from LSU in Geography and is a certified GIS Professional. She has also been working in the IT and Network industry for the past 10 years. She has an extensive background in the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for Environmental Policy, Planning, Restoration, and Management. She has certifications and training though ESRI, LAGIC, New Horizons Computer Learning Center, National Registry of Environmental Professionals (Watershed Coordinator), DHS/ICS and Graduate courses. Chelsea will be adding website and social media development as well Mac OS support to our services.
Rita Winters Shirer Office Manager
Rita has 30 years of experience as an office manager. She received her Paralegal Certificate in 1993 from the University of New Orleans and has worked as a paralegal, legal secretary and office manager for law firms, architects and business brokers. Her experience includes working with attorneys who represent the Louisiana Association of Chiefs of Police, the National Flood Insurance Program, and also working in judicial elections.
